- Does not store any information about your files beyond the current session, except for security bookmarks you explicitly save in document files
Local Data Usage
Folder Access
Final Pass only accesses folders that you explicitly select through the macOS file picker or by drag and drop. When you save a document (.fpd file), the app stores security bookmarks to remember your selected folders. These bookmarks are:
- Stored only in your document file
- Only accessible when you open that document
- Never transmitted to us or any third parties
File Comparison
When comparing folders, Final Pass:
- Temporarily reads file information (names, paths) in your selected folders
- Processes this information locally on your device
- Does not read the contents of your files
- Does not store persistent information about your files after you close the application
Local Preferences
The application stores minimal preferences (such as ignored file extensions) using macOS’s built-in UserDefaults system. These preferences:
- Are stored only on your local device
- Are never transmitted over the internet
- Can be reset within the application’s preferences
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on our website and updating the “Last Updated” date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
